1. What AIP Kitchen Is — and Is Not

AIP Kitchen is a recipe management and wellness tracking application designed to support adults following the Autoimmune Protocol (AIP) dietary framework. It provides:

• A curated library of AIP-compliant recipes
• An AI-powered recipe creation tool that generates phase-appropriate recipes based on your inputs
• Tools to track your protocol phase, log meals, record symptoms, and manage your pantry and shopping list
• A structured reintroduction tracker (Pro tier)
• Meal planning features (Pro tier)

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use AIP Kitchen. By accepting these Terms, you confirm that you meet this requirement. AIP Kitchen is not intended for use by minors. If we become aware that a user is under 18, we will delete their account.

AIP Kitchen is currently available to users in the United Kingdom, United States, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.

3. Your Account

To use AIP Kitchen you must create an account using a valid email address. You are responsible for:

• Keeping your login credentials confidential
• All activity that occurs under your account
• Notifying us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access at hello@aipkitchen.co.uk

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or misuse the service.

4. Subscription and Payment

4.1 Free Access

AIP Kitchen offers free access to get you started. This includes:

• 6 curated AIP-compliant recipes
• 5 lifetime AI recipe creations
• Phase tracker and day counter
• Symptom logging (7-day trends view)
• Pantry and shopping list management

No payment information is required for free access. The 5 AI recipe creations are a lifetime allowance — they do not reset monthly. Once used, upgrading to Pro is required for further AI recipe creation.

4.2 Pro Subscription

The Pro tier is available by subscription and unlocks the full AIP Kitchen experience, including:

• Full recipe library across all phases
• Unlimited AI recipe creation
• Meal planning
• Reintroduction phase tracking (structured 4-stage food testing log)
• Maintenance mode with personalised recipe profile
• Extended symptom trends (30-day and 90-day views)
• Trigger insights

Prices are displayed in GBP. Users in other territories will see the equivalent in their local currency as determined by the App Store.

4.3 Billing and Renewal

Subscriptions are billed through Apple In-App Purchase and managed via RevenueCat. Payments are charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.

You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time via your Apple ID account settings. Cancelling will not affect your access until the end of the current billing period.

4.4 Refunds

Refund requests for App Store purchases are handled by Apple in accordance with their refund policy. We do not have the ability to process refunds directly.

Australian users: Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, including any applicable statutory guarantees or rights to a refund.

5. AI Recipe Creation

The recipe creation tool uses Anthropic's Claude AI to generate AIP-compliant recipes based on your inputs (your current phase, pantry contents, and your description of what you want to eat).

Free users receive 5 lifetime AI recipe creations. This allowance is fixed and does not renew. Pro subscribers have unlimited access to the recipe creation tool.

You acknowledge and agree that:

• AI-generated recipes are provided for general informational and culinary purposes only
• Recipes are generated based on AIP compliance rules as understood at the time of development, but may not account for all individual sensitivities, medical conditions, or contraindications
• You are responsible for checking that any recipe is appropriate for your individual circumstances before preparing and consuming it
• We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of any AI-generated recipe
• The recipe tool must not be used to seek medical or dietary advice — for health questions, consult a healthcare provider

The AI system is instructed to generate recipes only and is scoped to decline medical or health queries. However, AI outputs are not infallible. If you encounter a recipe that appears unsafe, please report it to hello@aipkitchen.co.uk.

6. Health Data

When you log symptoms, meals, or reintroduction results, you provide us with health-related data. This data is used solely to power the features you use within the app. It is not shared with third parties, not used for advertising, and not used to train AI models.

The collection of this data is governed by our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. By using the symptom log and reintroduction tracker, you explicitly consent to the collection and processing of this health data.

You may withdraw consent and delete all your data at any time via Profile → Privacy → Delete Account.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use AIP Kitchen for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract data from the app or its API
• Use the AI recipe tool to generate content that is harmful, offensive, or outside its intended culinary purpose
• Share your account with others or attempt to circumvent subscription restrictions
• Submit false or misleading information

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if we determine, at our reasonable discretion, that you have breached these requirements.

8. Intellectual Property

All content within AIP Kitchen — including the app design, recipe library, copy, and underlying code — is the property of Elara Studios and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

AI-generated recipes produced by the recipe creation tool are provided to you for your personal use. You may not reproduce, distribute, or commercially exploit AI-generated recipe content without our prior written consent.

You retain ownership of any content you add to the app (meal logs, symptom entries, pantry data). By adding content, you grant us a limited licence to process it for the purpose of providing the service.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

• AIP Kitchen is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied
• We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components
• We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the app
• Our total aggregate liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months prior to the claim arising, or £100, whichever is greater

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law.

Australian Consumer Law: Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, or remedy under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted, or modified.

10. Service Availability and Changes

We aim to keep AIP Kitchen available at all times but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features or the service as a whole at any time.

If we discontinue the service, we will provide at least 30 days' notice where reasonably possible, and will not charge subscription fees for periods during which the service is unavailable.

11. Third-Party Services

AIP Kitchen integrates with third-party services including Supabase, Anthropic, RevenueCat, and Apple. Your use of these services is also subject to their respective terms and policies. We are not responsible for the practices of these third parties.

12. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of AIP Kitchen shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, except where applicable law in your jurisdiction requires otherwise.

If you are an Australian consumer, you may also have rights under Australian law that cannot be limited by this clause.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you via the app or by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the app after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

If you do not agree to updated Terms, you must stop using the app and may delete your account.
